I've done alterations at higher-end department stores, dry cleaners & other stand alone alterations stores and can honestly say nothing compares to English Tailors!!! They are the best at what they do! They're work is amazing and if they don't think they can tailor an item to fit me, they tell me upfront (vs. other places I'v gone to that will try then hack- up my clothes). I took my wedding dress there 12 years ago and they were able to alter it from a size 12 to a size 2! Got the dress for a steal & after they altered it & It fit like a glove. It looked like I bought it from one of those really expensive bridal boutiques! Since then, I've gone to Linda & her expert tailors. The few times I've strayed and tried other places, I've paid the price and come out with poor quality work! Definitely won't stray again and definitely a loyal customer of English Tailor!

I brought two formal dresses in to have basic alterations: one shortened and the cuffs taken in and another also shortened with the shoulder seams taken in and the skirt raised/bodice shortened. I have never had alterations done before and I asked what I could expect to pay for these changes. I was quoted $30 an hour but was given no estimate as to how long or involved the work would be. I was charged $150 to alter two dresses, which I feel is an absurd price. I will NEVER return to this business and have made sure to let my friends know to take their business elsewhere.

The best tailor I have ever found. I have been a loyal customer for years and will not go to anyone else. They always make perfect alterations, their quality is the best and they are professional and friendly. If I have questions on how I should do any alterations, they will provide suggestions. I always agree as they know what looks good and what does not flatter. I am always 100 percent satisfied with their work. Thank you English Tailors!

Beautiful work! I can sew and I know their alterations are the best and very professionally done. I've had two formal dresses altered and you could never tell. They look like they just came from the boutique.

SIMPLY THE BEST! Do you have that suit that if it was tapered in the waist - would make you look fabulous? Or did you buy something even though it wasnt the right size? Well go to English Tailors. Linda is the best tailor within the tri-state area - trust me I know! She gives personalized attention and incredible customer service. I've been a customer of hers for over 14 years and will never go elsewhere...just go - you'll see!
