DR. MACDOUGALL,DR THOMPSON & STAFF ARE THE WORST!

LOS LUNAS ANIMAL CLINIC EMPLOYS RUDE & ABUSIVE TECHS & STAFF! THE DOCTORS HAVE NO CONCERN FOR THE ANIMALS ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY, RUNNING UNNECESSARY TESTS & GIVING OUT BAD ADVICE ON HOW TO TREAT VERY COMMON CONDITIONS. MY DOG GOT HIS TOENAILS CLIPPED AT THIS CLINIC SEVERAL YEARS AGO. WHEN I ARRIVED TO PICK HIM UP HE WAS DEAD. DR MACDOUGALL SAID HE DIED FROM STRESS. MUCH LATER I FOUND OUT FROM AN EX EMPLOYEE, THE TECHS /STAFF SAT ON HIM WHICH CAUSED HIM TO SUFFOCATE BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT BE STILL & WAS HAVING ANXIETY ABOUT GETTING HIS NAILS CLIPPED. MACDOUGALL SENT A BILL .FOR DISPOSAL OF HIS BODY, AUTOPSY & NAIL CLIPPING OF OVER 300.00! BEFORE THAT VISIT I HAD MY CAT AT THE CLINIC FOR A VACCINATION & THE ANIMAL ABUSING TECH HELD HER HEAD LIKE A SOCCER BALL TO GIVE THE INJECTION. I FOUND OUT FROM THIS SAME EX EMPLOYEE THAT THE TECH SAID TO HIM, "DO YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GIVE A SHOT TO A CAT? HOLD THE HEAD LIKE A BASEBALL & WATCH THE BODY DANGLE IN THE AIR". THIS SAME EX EMPLOYEE SAID THE ONLY CLIENTS WHO GET PREFERRED TREATMENT ARE THE HORSE CLIENTS BECAUSE THEY SPEND THE MOST MONEY. A FEW MONTHS AGO MY GELDING BECAME VERY SICK. I CALLED THREE OTHER VETS WHO COULD NOT COME. HE WAS TOO SICK TO TRAILER HIM TO A CLINIC. AS A LAST RESORT I CALLED MACDOUGALL'S OFFICE. MY HORSE WAS SEEN BY DR. THOMPSON IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. DR. THOMPSON TOOK OVER 3 HRS TO ARRIVE FOR THE EMERGENCY & THEN SENT A BILL WITH A TRIP CHARGE OF 100.00 & AN EMERGENCY FEE OF 95.00. I was totally fed up with vets in the area that were all about the money and perhaps forgot why they became vets. Well, maybe they became vets to get rich but I am tired of those that think money is more important than retaining clients and taking care of our pets. Running all kinds of tests, charging for things we don't need or want. It's got to stop. Well for me it did. We found a vet from the old school that cares more about our pets than making a fortune running unnecessary tests and charging for things I don't want and my pets don't need.
