I am a general surgeon who will prioritize the patient's health first in every situation. I enjoy the variety of working in various body systems and will work each patient and their families to get them the treatment they need to leave feeling better than when they arrived. I believe that teamwork among the providers, patients, and staff will provide the best care and will be available to help when needed. From a personal standpoint, I am originally from the NY metropolitan area and after traveling the world for my medical training, have ended up in Southern California with my wife and two wonderful kids. We love to travel to new cities, try new foods, and listen to great music. I love movies, hiking, snowboarding, swimming, comics and video games. Fun Fact: I lost about 100 pounds(appropriately) around the beginning of my medical training after suffering a traumatic accident and being hospitalized and in rehab for 3 weeks. This experience helped shaped how I view and treat not only my patients, but my colleagues and coworkers, after having been a helpless inpatient myself.
