"I Said Sit!" was started by Jonathan Klein in 1988. Over 25 years it has grown to be one of the most respected dog training, boarding and day care facilities in Los Angeles. Jonathan teamed with his partner Elisha Stynchula in 2010 and together they opened their state-of-the-art facility on Robertson in West LA in 2011. "I Said Sit!" has been honored to be voted “The Best in LA” consistently since 2009.

 

A nationally recognized dog trainer and behaviorist, Jonathan started "I Said Sit!" to train dogs, help owners fix and prevent unwanted behavior, to make dogs happier in their homes. For over 25 years he has strived to educate the public, pet owners and other trainers to avoid mistreatment, neglect and abusive training.  His goal is to prevent dogs from ending up in shelters or being euthanized. He has also campaigned to promote rescue and stop pet stores and puppy mills.

"I Said Sit!" provides both group and individual training programs ranging from inexpensive and fun group training classes to individual private lessons including boarding and day care training series. They have basic training programs for puppies just starting out and older dogs of any age. Their training is based on the philosophy that dogs learn better when they are taught exactly what to do rather than when they are just told what not to do. Jonathan and his team use a positive, reward based training system for both the obedience and the behavior solutions they provide.
