One of the few comic book store still around in southern california. With the advent of the internet and popularity of comicons, the little comic book stores have gone the way of the dinosaurs. This store is still ticking and i sometimes wonder how that is possible. The prices are outrageously high and the owner is a arrogrant. Perhaps it is the "cool" factor that this store provides that keeps driving fanboys to it. There are the occassional "comic stars" that swing by to sign autographs, but you have to wait in line forever just to get a signature. The only reason I go there is for the book signings.

Golden Apple Comics is one of the Best Comic book stores in Los Angeles, They moved to the melrose with the cross street of La Brea a few years ago which explains if you were unable to find the store not knowing were they went. They not only have different sections to distribute different kinds of comic and manga readers its houses an amazing array of collectibles, posters, and limited edition busts, and other comic collectibles. Golden Apple comics should be one the primary sources of comics in Los Angeles as if they don't have it in store any worker would be happy to order and reserve a copy for you at your request. All employees there are friendly and seem to joke around with each other all the time. its a great environment to be in if you love comics.

Best Comic Store in Hollywood! I love this place! George Romero did a poster signing for "Diary of the Dead" at Golden Apple. It was pretty cool! Great staff, big store, and it's right next to a free art gallery so be sure to check that out as well. Good way to spend a day
