I had a mitral valve replaced by Dr. Yokoyama five years ago . Open heart surgeries are never fun. However, I was on my feet after a few days, walking around the nurses and offering to assist (to make the day go faster). I was sent home on the 5th day after removing the stitches, without any complications. Dr Yokoyama is an A's, that executed the surgery precisely, might be even better than a textbook manual
