At Drumville I provide private lessons for kids and adults in my studios and Drums "R" Fun group classes at El Camino College, Torrance Cultural Arts Center and Bolivar Park in Lakewood. I promise to train you or your student, beginning to adult in all the fundamentals proficiently and correctly from the beginning to a lifetime of musical ability. With my experience of expertise in teaching drums for over 30 years in the South Bay, Torrance and Long Beach area, teaching hundreds of kids from 3-83 to achieve their musical dreams of playing the drums. I understand the importance of finding a drum teacher that teaches the fundamentals of playing properly combined with the ability to play the type of music that you want to play. At Drumville Studios, I will teach you all the essentials for becoming a working drummer, prepare you for playing drums in school band, marching band, jazz ensemble, worship team drummer or maybe it's just been your dream to be able to play for fun. That includes learning Sight Reading and Notation, Drum Rudiment Training, Song Structure, Rebound and Accent Control, Hand Development, Hand and Foot Coordination, Tuning your drums and more. You do not need a drumset to begin; I specialize in taking a beginning student, often very young to becoming a fully prepared student for high school and college bands.
