We just moved to the Santa Ynez valley and needed to find pet sitters for our two labs. We found Manglers. What a fantastic facility: clean, neat, large kennels and turn out....but the best reason to board there is Jeanene the "pet nanny". My girls were happy and loved while we were away. We will be regulars there. XOXOXO

We do the "Sideways" trip every spring and last year we added the Los Olivos Wine and Jazz Festival to our itinerary and needed a place to board our doggies, Artie the Wonder Dog and Fearless Freckles. Searching for a good place to board your pets is always a stressful thing, there are so many horror stories out there. But you can put your mind at ease with Mangler's. Its propieter, Jeanene, is a bit of old school "pet nanny", very experienced, knowledgeable and well versed in all aspects of pet care and boarding. The facility is clean and modern, set in the rustic and picturesque ranchlands of the Santa Ynez Valley. The Mangler Ranch would not look out of place in an episode of Lassie, no kidding. The kennels are large and comfortable, filled with toys, cubbys and beds, and are climate controlled. The play areas are large and the dogs get plenty of exercise and sunshine. What else can I say? Reasonable rates, 24-7 on duty pet care, and they even have a Cattery in case you are travelling with your furry feline. Wonderful place. We highly recommend.

We boarded our dogs here for 3 weeks. It cost us over $800 and when we picked them up they had lost a lot of weight, were filthy dirty and she said she couldn't wait to get rid of them. She took no time with them and just locks them in a kennel. You must call before you pick them up. Why is that? So she can make it look like she actually spends time with the poor cage animals.

She is rude, demanding and it was the worst experience ever boarding our dogs!

I would put my worst enemy in her care.

My Wife and I use the Mangler’s Ranch every time we need to board our dog Zephyr. It’s located in the beautiful foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains and you couldn’t imagine a better location. When you think of a normal everyday pet boarding center, you think cement walls, cramped cages, intercity, and unhappy pets. Mangler’s Ranch is the complete opposite. Your pet will probably have more space to run around than he/she does at home. Simply put, it’s clean, safe, and Jeanene (owner/pet nanny) is one of the friendliest people we have met in the area. She even takes the time to give zephyr his ear infection medicine drops. It feels as if we are dropping our pet off with someone that we know. Zephyr is happier leaving the ranch then when he arrived. And we couldn’t be happier about that. And the cherry on the cake…It’s the best price in town!

Just picked up beagle from a 10 day stay at the Pet Ranch. Jeanene made me feel so comfortable. She such a great person and has been doing this for years. The kennels are very clean.

This is the best place to board your pet EVER. You won't believe how clean it is. Jeanene is the best pet nanny! Extremely reasonable rates, too. You won't worry about your baby when you board here!

This place is the best boarding for your pet. People drive from Santa Barbara and beyond to board their pets here. Jeanene is the dedicated pet nanny and she loves your baby just as much as you do (well, maybe almost as much!)

It is spotless and the animals get to go out and play and it's great.
