I'm Emily with Mia Bridal Couture in Houston, Texas and these are my tips for selecting bridal shoes. You have heard everyone say it, but wear something comfortable. Most bridal shoe designers do something a little bit different. They offer a slightly wider heel width, which is going to keep you in that shoe all day long and through the night; but still be comfortable. Most companies have a selection of three different colors or at least two to match your gown perfectly. When properly hemmed, your gown will be about half of an inch to a quarter of an inch off the floor; which means that that shoe you pick is going to show as you walk forward. So make sure that it's something comfortable yet fabulous or that you have a fabulous pedicure if you go with an open toe. The store that you work with is going to have everything for you from head to toe. So go ahead and pick the shoe while you're there. This will ensure that the color matches perfectly. Also that you already have that decision made when the gown comes in, you're ready for alterations and ready to have the gown hemmed. I'm Emily with Mia Bridal Couture and these are my tips on how to select the bridal shoe.
