Hi I am Emily with Mia Bridal Couture in Houston, Texas, and these are my tips for how to choose jewelry to compliment your bridal gown. Something old, new, borrowed, and blue. This is a great place to tie in that wonderful tradition, is with your jewelry. Now if you are looking through a jewelry box or maybe looking through the store for a piece to compliment your look, first take into account the color of your gown, also if it has beading the color of that beading. Primarily that is either going to be a clear crystal or a more bold silver rhinestone. If your dress has either one of these you may want to have that in the pieces that you look for so everything is cohesive, and blends together. Now from there a lot of this is personal preference. If you are doing your hair up, a more dramatic earring may be better. The trend that we are seeing here in the bridal industry is less at the neck, a clean line, and then going with a more dramatic earring or bracelet to give that touch of sparkle. Where to find these pieces for your jewelry accessories? Look at the store, and talk to the consultant. Tell her about what you are comfortable wearing. If you don't wear a huge earring every day maybe your wedding day is not the day to start doing it. Also, when you are in the store for that last visit deciding on your gown bring a few pieces in. Maybe if you have found a great pearl necklace in your mother's jewelry case or you have seen something at the store put it on all together so you see the whole look. Choosing your jewelry when you choose your gown is going to help everything blend, and look perfectly together. And you can finish that look all at one time. I am Emily with Mia Bridal Couture, and those are my tips for choosing jewelry to compliment your wedding gown.
