Bachelorette Party Scrapbook Ideas
Old-fashioned scrapbooks can be the ultimate memento even in the age of Facebook
By Michelle Bolyn
After your big night out with the girls, you're going to want to make a memory of it, so you can always look back at the great time you had. Go to your local craft store and buy a scrapbook that matches your bachelorette party theme. For example, if you all wore black and hot pink, purchase a black or hot pink scrapbook. Then start preserving your memories.
Bachelorette Party
To make sure that you have enough pictures and memorabilia from your bachelorette party for your scrapbook, put two responsible bridesmaids in charge of taking pictures and collecting items. This way, if one of the bridesmaids doesn't do a very good job, you have another set of images as a backup. Before the big night, ask them to take separate pictures of you as the night goes on. Each hour, take a picture with the group to show how the night progressed, and use the pictures on two corresponding pages in your scrapbook. Put the time by each picture, and decorate the pages with a large clock or clock stickers. Ask your two designated bridesmaids to collect any items that relate to your night, such as matchbooks from the club, a takeout menu from the restaurant or a deflated balloon from the decor. Build two corresponding scrapbook pages around these items.
Scrapbook Items
The basic items you'll need to purchase are scrapbook adhesives, scissors and gel pens. While you're at your local craft store, look at the sticker aisles, and pick out some that match your theme. Almost all craft stores carry bachelorette-related stickers. Then check out the ribbon and stamp aisles for even more products for your bachelorette scrapbook. Stick with items that will look nice with your pictures and any memorabilia saved from the night.
Themed Pages
Make the theme come alive in your scrapbook by adding stickers or drawings of related items to most of the pages. For example, if you went out for martinis and dinner and then went to see a romantic comedy, include stickers or clip art of martinis and the recipe of your favorite martini on one page. Put a synopsis of the movie and your rating of one to five stars on the next page. Glue the movie tickets next to your rating. If you went to the spa for the day and drank mimosas, put stickers of a bathrobe, nail polish and nail file on one page with a couple of pictures of you and the girls being pampered. On the next page, include a list of the spa treatments that you received.
