Bachelorette Party Games
Liven up your "girls night out" with some exciting party games
By Cynthia Myers
The bachelorette party is the bride's last opportunity to live it up as a single woman. As she gathers with her best gal pals, this is her chance to escape the stress of planning the wedding and just have a good time. Make it a party to remember with these fun games.
Icebreakers
Compile a list of questions about the bride, aiming for obscure and funny facts about her childhood, interests and personality, and relationship with the groom. These can be as naughty as you dare. The guest with the most right answers wins a prize. Or play the same game but with questions about the groom. Or quiz the bride about her friends.
Drinking Games
Make a list of activities or behaviors and read them aloud, one at a time. Anyone who's ever done the activity takes a drink. Examples: been a cheerleader, sang karaoke, been on a topless beach. This is another game you can make as outrageous as you like. Or flip the game around by having the people who haven't done a particular activity take a drink.
Alphabet Games
Pick a category and ask guests to list one item from that category for each letter of the alphabet. The person with the most answers wins. Examples: bar drinks, bands, zoo animals -- whatever you like. If you don't want to bother having people write their answers down, go around the room and have each person take a turn with the letters of the alphabet in order. Last woman standing wins a prize.
Creativity Counts
Have your guests compete to see who can create the most outrageously decorated cupcake, cookie or ice-cream sundae. Provide plenty of supplies such as different colored frosting, whipped cream, sprinkles and anything else you can think of. The creations can become party refreshments.
Scavenger Hunts
Send the bride and other guests on a search for a list of items -- the crazier the better. Make them all wedding related -- a garter, rice, his and her guest towels -- or make them related to the bride's favorite hobby or the groom's occupation. Play a racy version where guests hunt for more risque items. You can plant appropriate items around the house ahead of time, or send teams of women through the neighborhood on their search.
