Bachelorette Party Drink Ideas
Delight everyone with these fun drinks
By Yu Qing
The maid of honor and bridesmaids usually plan the bachelorette party for the soon-to-be bride. Brainstorm a list of party drinks to serve the guests during the night. Make drinks that reflect the bride's personality: Serve the "blushing bride" if she is conservative or the "bachelorette party overdrive" for the outgoing partygoer. Remember, this is last chance for the bride to enjoy a night as an unmarried woman with her closest girlfriends.
Blushing Bride
The blushing bride is a lovely pink drink to serve at the party. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour 2 parts pink lemonade and 1 part vodka into a shaker. Shake the mixture well. Rub lemon around the rims of martini glasses and flip them over to dip the rims in sugar. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glasses.
Bachelorette Party Overdrive
The bachelorette party overdrive is a drink that helps party participants get revved up for a night out. In a cocktail shaker, mix 1 part vodka with 4 parts energy drink, such as Red Bull, Monster or Rockstar. You can find these ingredients at a grocery or liquor store. Make sure the girls don't drink too much, because it's not advisable to large quantities of a stimulant with a depressant like alcohol.
Jell-O Shots
Jell-O shots are fun drinks that you can make in advance. This helps you save time when you're planning the party details. Moreover, they work well for parties because they won't spill and they're easy to consume. Purchase Jell-O packs in feminine colors, such as pink, red or purple, to fit the occasion. Boil 1 cup water to dissolve a 3-oz. pack of Jell-O. Once the powder dissolves completely in hot water, stir in 1 cup vodka. Pour the solution into small paper cups. Fill each cup about halfway. A pack of Jell-O should make 12 servings.
Long Island Iced Tea
Make Long Island iced tea for the strong bride to be with high alcohol tolerance. It has a large concentration of alcohol, as it includes several different types. The drink was named after the city Long Island, New York, and is similar in taste to iced tea. Mix 1 part vodka, 1 part tequila, 1 part rum, 1 part triple sec (an orange-flavored liqueur), 1 ½ parts sweet-and-sour mix and a splash of Coke in a cocktail shaker. Pour the mixture in large glasses with ice.

Bridal Shower Time
Bridal showers can be anything you want them to be: a tea with just the girls or a barbecue that includes the boys. Keep your responsibilities to a minimum on this day. If a friend or family member is throwing the party, leave it to them and help only as needed. Your main responsibility? Showing up.
