Hi. I'm Albert McDonald, with Overeducated Painters. Today we're here to talk to you about proper questions to ask your painters. It's very important to ask these questions while you're getting your estimates, because you don't want to do it after they've started. One of the very important things is, the gentleman giving you your estimate--or lady, I should say--giving you the estimate, ask them will they be there painting with the other painters. Who are their painters? How long have they been working together? My painters, personally, they've been with me for six to seven years each. So, my clients know that they can trust my painters. They know the quality of work that we do. Just very important simple questions like that. Another important one, though, is--don't want to sound bad here, but--do they speak English? We've heard a lot of stories from clients, when they have a nice guy in a suit, do an estimate. They go with it, he doesn't show up. The painters show up, and they do not speak any English. They cannot communicate with them, and wrong colors get on the walls. Things don't get done right. That could be simplified by being able to talk properly with your painters. So, other things to ask are: are they insured? Now that's an important thing. You've got insurance... you've also got workman's comp, which of course the insurance company wants everybody to have workman's comp, even though it is pretty expensive. Quite a few painters do not have it, and if it's a potentially dangerous job... you know, tall ladders, working up on the outside of your house... you might want to make sure that there's workman's comp so that if they get injured everything is okay, and you don't have to worry about it. You're fully covered. So, those are the type of questions that you definitely want to ask your painters when they're over there for the estimate. Not after they show up, because it'll be way too late. So, again, I'm Albert McDonald, with Overeducated Painters, talking about questions you should ask your painters.
