When one is caught in the middle of a dispute without knowing both sides of the story it is difficult to take a logical stand. I have known the Vets at Heidt Vet Clinic having dealt with them professionally and as a client over their years in Lima. I have found them to be most knowledgeable in all aspects of their practice. They are honest people. They are very caring about the welfare of all animals and seek to give the best treatment available for any problem. I would take any animal of mine to them for care and have referred many owners to them!The rashness and attack by the person noted in title upon their character and quality of practice must be the result of knowing only one side of this situation. I would urge this young man to use caution in his attack on them professionally because slanderous accusations can lead to future repercussions. I urge him to learn the opposite side of the story he has reacted to in such a reckless manner.

Unfortunately Ryanwrecker has been caught in the middle of a situation where he was initially given some inaccurate information. If what he had been told was true, I would completely his reaction. But he was only told one side of a story that I know the background on, and that side was wrong in my opinion. I have known Joe and Wendy for 6 years and they are extremely caring veterinarians who only want the best for their patients and clients. I am so sorry that Ryanwrecker got pulled into this conflict. I would completely trust my pets with Joe and Wendy under any circumstance.

This vet came recommended from friends, and the visit was nice with no issues. However, I found out after the fact they were a bunch of cowards. My dog was adopted from the local Humane Society. He was even one of the featured dogs and "poster spokes-dog" for their adoption campaigns. In the cross fire of local vets trying to switch the Humane Society from a no-kill shelter to one that euthanize's, my vet took the side of a KILL shelter. BUT they went further, saying my dog (called him out by his name) should have been put down, was vicious based on a office visit from 1 week prior. However, I visited the office 1 month prior.It became obvious my dog was the being unfairly categorized with blatant lies, just because he was the "spokes-dog" for the campaign. Needless to say I'll never go there again.I wish there was a rating lower than "disappointing."

Amazing staff, outstanding care! I take my Pit Bull & Basset to Heidt and always receive the best care for them. Dr's Joe & Wendy are always so thorough & the tech's are so friendly and helpful. I have had more than one occasion I have had to call ahead to bring one or both dogs in and emergent situation and they are so accommodating. Everyone I know uses Heidt Veterinary, and they all say the same. A very heartfelt thank you to all of you @ Heidt for caring for and loving my girls as much as I do. My parents had an old house cat that had gone in to renal failure. My mom said she will never forget how compassionate they were when it was time to put him to sleep.

Went there with my pet in an emergency state and was insulted and disrespected. Needed advice or referral and received no help. Seemed like i was an inconvenience. Am going to a different vet now and a lot happier.

I also used to use Lima Animal Hospital. Dr.Joe And Dr.Wendy are truly gifted and obviously it's more than a career for each of them. The staff always goes above and beyond with compassion and information. Everyone there is an "animal person".

I used to take my pets to Lima Animal Hospital until we had some issues with them about service. Heidt Veterinary Hospital went above and beyond my expectations.

Though most verenarians have a love of animals, some have a passion that goes beyond just the treatment. Having recently switched to Heidt Veterinary Hospital, I was very pleased to see how friendly and helpful their entire staff was. They not only work well with animals, but have a way with humans too!

Today was our first visit to Heidt and I was VERY pleased! My dog received excellent care and the staff and service was friendly and professional. Had previously gone to Lima Animal Hospital and was not happy with the customer service and the prices. I do not mind paying a higher price if the service and care are exceptional, however that was not what I experienced with Lima Animal Hospital. The prices at Heidt are very reasonable. Personally, I will not be returning to Lima Animal Hospital in the future. I plan on taking all of my animals to Heidt in the future.

Used to go to Lima Animal Hospital & the prices at Heidt are substantially less while also receiving more personal/friendly attention.
