There is nothing more frightening than having major oral surgery scheduled. I have nothing but great things to say about my personal experience with the entire staff at Blue Ridge Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. Everyone treated me exceptionally well. It all started with the young lady Emily that booked my surgery. My schedule is not flexible due to traveling for work. It literally took her 15 minutes to find me an appointment time that was convenient for myself and Dr. Burgoyne. The procedure and heal time went better than expected. In every-way all my expectations were exceeded. I would recommend anyone in need of their services to give them a call.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brandt three times in the past several years. Each time the experience has been outstanding. Check-in and registration was simple and efficient, waiting time was minimal and I was treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. Dr. Brandt's procedure assistants were extremely competent and friendly and made preparation and and post operative explanations simple and clear. Dr. Brandt himself exhibited a very professional manner, carefully explained in advance what was involved and was careful to careful to avoid any undue pain or discomfort. Several times during the procedures he stopped to make sure I was not having any problems. After he was finished he spent additional time with me explaining post-operative instructions.

Overall, the experience could not have been any better and I would not hesitate to return for any future needs. I have also recommended his practice to friends and family. He and his staff are to be commended.

Excellent Service

I saw Dr Burgoyne for a sinus lift & two wisdom teeth extractions. She was very good at explaining procedures and what to expect both before & after surgery. I was extremely anxious prior to surgery so Dr put me at ease with valium & laughing gas. I was out during surgery and surprised afterward how little pain I felt. Staff was quick and efficient. Can't say enough about how happy I am about my whole experience and the outcome I experienced. Would highly recommend Dr Burgoyne!

My young son had to have several teeth pulled on two separate occasions and Dr. Brandt and his staff did an excellent job making him feel comfortable. We did not have to wait long to be seen and the procedure went well both times. Because of our experience on the first visit, my son did not mind returning for the second procedure. We would not hesitate to return to see Dr. Brandt and recommend him to family and friends.

Impressive Business in Our Community.

As a parent and pastor, I highly recommend Blue Ridge Surgery for extractions.

My little girl's anxiety was high when she knew that four teeth would need to be removed all at the same time due to crowding issues. The initial visit was informative about the surgery and efficient with not much waiting in the front area or in the room. On the day of the surgery, valium was offered however we choose as a family to talk through the process. I reminded my little girl that when her grandfather had his teeth out he received nothing to numb his mouth; the dentist just pulled the teeth out. When her mommy had teeth removed a shot was used to numb her mouth. Now, with the advance in technology numbing jelly will help her not to feel any pain.

When my daughter went back to have her teeth removed, I didn't have time to read much before I was called back to a little girl with a full mouth of gauze and a smile of how proud she was of herself for not crying. She said,"You were right, it didn't hurt at all!" I loved how I could pull around to the side to pick her up so she didn't have to walk through the lobby embarrassed with a mouth full of gauze.

I know for my family, Blue Ridge is the place we will return for any and all dental surgery.

Dr. Brandt did a wonderful job treating my son. The entire experience was pleasant and working with the office staff, especially with the insurance filing, was very straightforward and timely. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

I have to agree with the lady who wrote the first review. The office protocol is terrible. I went in initially for the doctor's opinion on why I had swelling in my gum. I filled out the initial paper work, and took a seat in the waiting room. I was then called back up to the desk and asked to pay $114, before I even saw the doctor. Then I had a seat and was eventually seen. The doctor was competent and kind, and she spent less than 10 minutes with me checking the site. I was then scheduled back to have the area biopsied and removed. Another girl then came in to tell me the projected cost would be $269.80, and had me sign. When I returned two days later for the procedure, I signed in. Then I was called back up to the desk to pay for the procedure before it was even done. The girl then plopped down my return visit appointment card without even asking me if the date or time met with my schedule.

On the plus side, the office was clean, the doctor was very nice and competent. But the front office procedure is horrible and makes patients feel like we are just dollar signs and not really people. Incidentally, I'm a nurse, so I've been on both sides of this issue. Patients are used to paying up after they are seen not before! I would give it only one star if the doctor wasn't so nice, but she really was very good.
