The Lenexa Fire Department responds to all fire, rescue and emergency medical incidents in the city of Lenexa, Kan. The department consists of 90 sworn personnel located at four stations, as well as two civilian employees. Emergency medical response in Lenexa is provided by four fire companies and three medic ambulances. It assists patients with conditions that range from minor lacerations to cardiac arrests. The Lenexa Fire Department provides immediate response, patient care and transport to area hospitals and trauma centers. The fire department reacts to brush, car, residential and commercial fires, airplane crashes, animal rescues, bomb threats, floods, gas leaks and vehicle accidents.
