LAWS Youth and Children's Services assists the victims of domestic violence and abuse. It offers crisis intervention, emergency housing and guidance counseling services. The agency provides various recreational activities, as well as maintains peer support groups. Additionally, LAWS Youth and Children's Services represents children in agencies, schools and courts. It also offers the Loudoun County Nurturing Parenting Program. The agency is a part of Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter that is commonly known as LAWS. Founded in 1985, Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter is a private, nonprofit organization that offers emergency shelter and support services for women and children in Loudoun County, Va. The organization also provides assistance with legal services and maintains a thrift shop.
