I had an awful experience with this salon. I had booked a trial run for my wedding both hair and makeup. The day before my scheduled appointment I got a call from the owner Krista telling me the makeup artist had a family emergency and we would need to reschedule. We rescheduled for 3/30 and on 3/29 I got a call from the salon again telling me there was an issue and that the airbrush machine was broken. They said I could still come in for the trial run custom blend foundation. On the day i went in for my trial run, I was met with Emma who did my hair. The end result was awful, she put so much product in it that it looked wet and heavily weighed down. She told me we could fix this on my wedding day and then passed me off to the makeup artist Korlee. Korlee "custom" blended a foundation color that was 3 shades too dark for my very fair skin. I also have deep hollow set dark circles and i stressed how much I wanted these hidden. She didn't even attempt to conceal them or color correct. The end result of my makeup trial run left me with deep dark brown circles, a very tan face, and different colored eye shadows and blushes. She suggested I go wash off my face before leaving. Upon payment for services they tried charging me full special occasion pricing of $90, which when I scheduled the appointment Krista told me it would only be $40. Now, if you want clients to pay full price for a trial run then I better be able to walk out of the building looking like I could go to a special occasion. The other incident that happens is the makeup artist told me the airbrush machine would be fixed by 4/11 and that she would call me to come back in and test the colors. I never received a call. I called today 4/20 to see what is going on because my wedding is 9 days away and they tell me the airbush machine has broken again. Luckily I have secured a much more reliable hair and makeup artist for my wedding. Save yourself the worry and hassle and go to another salon.

This is the most diversified salon I have ever been to! Everyone is very professional and very friendly! From hair, to makeup, to cleansing facials, and a favorite of mine, lash extensions! Monica Vargas works miracles with her talent of adding lashes to people like myself who weren't given naturally long and full lashes! Truly a talented individual ! She also does permanent makeup for your eyebrows, and eyeliner for people like myself once again that do not have the natural talent of applying eyeliner etc! Thanks Monica! You made me feel beautiful!

I have be going to Salon & Spa Fifth Avenue for over 6 years now. I found them by accident and haven't turned back since. I have my hair cut, colored, & styled by Krista regularly. Salon & Spa offer so many different things and I've had the opportunity to try and experience almost everyone of them. Alicia gives an amazing facial! Very knowledgeable of products she uses & recommends. My favorite, the raindrop therapy facial! Alicia also does nails, pedis, manis, makeup lessons/consults, & permanent makeup. Monica... I meet with her about every 3-4 weeks for a Lash extension fill. Monica uses the best products and excellent technique. I've had no issues, ever!!! Monica also did my permanent makeup on my eyebrows. With my lashes and eyebrows it's taken 15 mins off of my morning! I could be having the worse day ever & leave feeling beautiful and knowing they cared to help me feel that way! They are all so very special! Thank you Salon & Spa Fifth Avenue!

I don't believe people who are writing reviews for other people. Each person experiences things different and if one thing is not to their exact liking, they tell other people in exaggeration what they thought. I have been going to Salon 5th Avenue for a little while now and I love the place! They are awesome there! They are friendly, professional and really work to make their clients happy. I have done all their services there. I have had a pedicure and the job was done excellently. They SPEAK ENGLISH!! They put hot rocks in the water and give you a real spa like experience. They stylist know how to cut and color hair, they also are fabulous at styling. I have had a few special occasions and they have made me look spectacular! Their make-up artist use to work for Paramount Pictures and she knows what she is doing. She shares tips and ideas to help you save money with the make-up products you have and then when you are out of those items, she is willing to help you choose better products for you skin. She makes her own foundation to match your skin type and they products are natural. She is Apache and wants to use natural products to help the skin improve. I have had facials done and they have been relaxing and helpful. I walk out feeling refreshed and renewed. I get my eyelashes permed and never have I been disappointed in them. I have eyelashes that go straight down and are so heavy that they will not curl with a curling lash, but with the perming they stay up for over two months. I have gotten my eyebrows done and they look amazing every time. Over all I would give them 10 stars if I could. I do not work for them, I just know what a spectacular job they do. I would completely trust them (and I do) and I keep going back because they do a fabulous job. I completely recommend them. Do not be swayed by someone who has never experienced the services for themselves.

I have loved every service I have had here and I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I have never had a cut or color I have not liked and I loved the facial I received. It was so relaxing and I liked that they use an all natural line that is amazing and does what it promises. I also like they have specials, so if there is a service you want to try, but don't want to pay a ton, these specials give you that option. I will definitely be going back.
