James S. Russell Middle School is an educational institution that is operated by Brunswick County Public Schools. The school teaches a variety of subjects, such as English, reading, writing, history, algebra, civics, economics, math, science, social studies, physical education, art and computer applications. In addition, it organizes special classes for remedial programs; limited English proficiency; and special, vocational, alternative, and talented and gifted education. The school has a staff of approximately 60 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a custodian, guidance secretary and counselor, library media specialist, special education teacher, bookkeeper and art professional. James S. Russell Middle School serves more than 500 students in grades six through eight and is located in Lawrenceville, Va.
