I rented a car for 2 days. On my way home I had a blow out which caused me to be 2 hours late. Mr. Abi charged me a whole extra day because I was 2 hours late. THEIR tire failed me or I would have been on time. He would not reimburse me and was very rude.

I have been renting from this location since May 2012 till today Mar 2013. Total of rentals 7. And the service is great. Abdi and Emel are great, and they work with you. if you make it clear to them your needs they will vend over backwards to help you out. I treat them with respect and get the same in return. go to them with an open mind and you will be a happy camper. Ramon

I definitely believe that Avis car rental in Lawrence KS is the best rental store in town for the following reasons:



1- Avis has better cars relatively to others with much competitive prices.

2- Avis offers road assistance in case of emergency or any car break down.

3- Avis staff will pick you up from home to the store and vice versa.

4- The employees create a friendship environment with their customers and they offer good advices regarding many car rental aspects.

5- I personally like the location of the store. If you want to go to KC, this is the best location you want to rent from. Also, the store is very clean and they provide customers with water inside the store; these little things mean a lot to me and it tells you a lot about who you are dealing with.



Finally, I have been in Lawrence long enough to guarantee with confidence that Avis is the best car rental store in town and I encourage you to at least try it once and see by yourself what exactly I am saying.

The AVIS rental operation in Lawrence is real good, to put it simply. I am 50+ year old business professional and rely heavily on this AVIS, too. I have a very high set of expectations as well. My experiences with the Manager, Mr. Abdi and his co-manager Mr. Enel are always positive. Both men go out of their way to provide a quality rental car and the best price in town...far better than HERTZ or Enterprise, trust me. I've tried them all. The customer service is always great.



I've always been given what seems to be a new car: They've always been cleaned inside and out at the times I've rented. You can make a reservation via the AVIS web site or simply by calling the location directly. You can arrange for them to pick you up so you don't need to drive to the location. I've found the GPS to very helpful and sometimes rent one from them. The maps are always current



Clean, essentially new cars and very good prices. Who could ask for more?

I used this company to celebrate my 22nd birthday over the weekend.The guys picked me up and took me back right to my door,the car was rental but very clean and recent model.They are also flexible with the rates if you ask.

I rented a car from Avis of Lawrence KS for a week, first of all my Jeep's power steering pump went out, I took my car to the nearest mechanic shop near Avis which literally right across the street from Avis. Before I even dropped my car off at the shop I called Avis made reservations and they even specially told me a time i needed to drop off my car in order for them to come pick me up from the shop. I gave them the directions and even the exact address to the shop in order for them to come pick me up. They were 45minutes late to pick me up which also due note it has been snowing at the time so i was not going to walk out in the blistering cold.



We finally got me into a rental car, told me to bring it back with a full tank of gas on Wednesday. A week later I go to drop off my rental car on the day the world decided to freeze over, traffic was slow, this little hyundai was not a very good choice to deal with this weather. As I finally get to Avis I drop off the car and they charged me with an extra day of rental due to the fact that I was "late" dropping off the car because of bad weather and also the agent helping NEVER told me I had a specific time to drop it off. I even asked if there was a time when i needed to, all he said was to fill it up bring it back and that was it.



I highly recommend anyone to never use their service they tend to hide small prints and never tell you about them so they and trick you into having pay extra. I will NEVER do business with these people AGAIN.

I booked a car on June 19th, 2010(Saturday) at 10:00 AM to get to airport from Lawrence. Wanted to drop off the car at the airport. But the manager (Abi) insisted I return the car at Lawrence. According to Abi the car was reserved by another person at 4 pm and he is doing me a favor by renting it till 4pm. I got a friend to drop me at the airport and return the car at Lawrence. Abi never mentioned branch closes at 4 PM. He basically tricked us to bring the car back to Lawrence, and charge us for the weekend. The car was returned on Saturday to Lawrence location. GPS can show car has been on there lot from Saturday. On Monday he charged my credit card $ 234 (3 DAYS RENT). My friend heard and saw everything the manager did. AVIS REFUSES TO CREDIT BACK THE EXCESS CHARGE! I WANT TO TAKE THIS MESSAGE VIRAL TO EXPOSE THIS CHEATING AT LAWRENCE LOCATION– CHARGE CUSTOMERS FOR CARS SITTING IN THEIR PARKING LOT!!
