The worst, they are always in ...

The worst, they are always in your business, residents constantly being nosey, office is always using a form of excuse to enter your unit, Mexicans janitors w/ arrest records ripping you off, working in cohort w/ a shady office worker, (running circle around the unknowing office mgr). constant traffic, bus, shady hotel across the street (the street people), constant harassment by tenant dog owners urinating by you unit all day, everyday on purpose (how is it you see the same agitating people (dog owners) outside YOUR window (2 feet away) everyday and they live clear across the compound? b/c they walk a mile to harass YOU. If you go to the hospital and don't pay the rent. before your family can come to pick up your things, the shady office worker sends the janitors to get the pc's, t.v. washer-dryer anything of value then when the family shows up everything of value is gone. So the family complains to the office mgr: then the mgr tells the family no-one has been in their w/o office permission and I didn't give permission. Then there's a standstill w/ the "shady office worker(not the office mgr) and the janitor looking on like we just work here (we don't have nothing to do w/ this)." Sure like the old woman/man sold their belonging up the street, the family has no recourse. Also if you move in you are allowed a person on your lease (occupant space), but if for ANY reason you met someone new, they try to charge you 100.00 extra (big rip-off), considering you're already are allowed a occupant space, whats the different between the occupant space before and the occupant space after, it's still the occupant space (one person), but the office uses this as a dagger to stick you. Many moved out. Total chaos.

Everything is here.

I was renting a room before living at Silver Winds for the same amount of money. My only additional expense has been electric. Having had good credit with SCE before I only had to pay $15 instead of a big deposit to get it started. My only other expense has been joining the Silver Liners, $5 for a year. I've living here a month and I love it. The staff is Johnny on the Spot to help with whatever it may be. There's a thrift store across the street and the traffic lights zone out by numbers so you have time to cross. Silver Winds is a block away from the Senior Center. There are 3 different bus numbers that run on Avenue I, around the corner from Fern Avenue. The closest grocery store (Vons, 2058 W. Avenue J, Lancaster) is just 1.8 miles away, 4 minutes by car. Plus, they deliver for $50 plus, spent on groceries. There is also a beauty shop. I love it!
