If I could give zero stars I would. I brought Jerry my boat on a Thursday evening. This was for ease and convenience so that after the busy weekend ahead my boat could be a priority, as the issue it had was relatively simple. My boat sat for exactly two weeks to the day before Jerry finally had enough of my calls during the second week to take a look at it. The morning that he finally put his hands on it I received a phone call while I was in school saying that he had broken a clip on the distributor and that because it was supposed to be a 'easy fix' and this happened that I had to come pick up my boat and I could bring it back to him after I fixed the item HE BROKE! The audacity! I picked my boat up the same day to find that he snapped the head off of a small screw which took me five minutes to drill out and replace....... And this guy says he has over thirty years experience?! I say don't take your boat there he is constantly blaming his inconsistent shop schedule on his medication and his ailing health. Long story short, this is not a place I would ever go again or take anybody else.

I purchased a used 2001 Maxum 2300SC in April 2012... It ran like a champ until July 2012 when the engine bent a rod @ Big Mac. I've owned many boats, but have never been faced replacing an engine... Needless to say, I have been to a number of local marine shops around town, but had never had a really great experience with any of them. I had no idea who I could trust with my baby. As such, I ran an ad in CL asking for advice in the boat section (3 different times) until March 2013... I received 8 random recommendations for a place called Ram Boats in Lakewood. I had never heard of the place. I called and spoke with Jerry and decided to go with Ram Boats. I received to boat back in a timely manner and he came through on all promises. I didn't have to take it back multiple times (like with some other shops Ive enjoyed) it was done right the first time. She runs like a champ... Glad I went with Ram Boats. I've found my new boat shop... Highly recommended
