The Lake Mary Police Department protects residents lives and their property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances and assistance with emergency medical services. It employs a staff of more than 55 full-time, sworn officers, volunteers and civilians. The Lake Mary Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior. The department is accredited by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) and Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The Lake Mary Police Department is located in Lake Mary, Fla.
