Established in 2004, Sangaree Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science, Spanish, French and social studies. The school additionally conducts classes in computer literacy, art, band, and health and physical education. Sandy Springs Middle School supports a student council and beta and chess clubs. It offers MATHCOUNTS, which is a national enrichment, coaching and competition program where students compete in more than 500 written and oral math competitions held worldwide. In addition, the school organizes spelling bee competitions. Its library media center stocks various print and multimedia reading and reference resources. Sangaree Middle School is located in Ladson, S.C., and is a part of the Berkeley County School District.
