Olga D. Rose, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who provides primary care for infants, children and young adults up to age 21. She has a special interest in treating newborns with a wide range of illnesses, as well as providing care that focuses on the unique physical and mental conditions of adolescents and teens.As an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Rose instructs medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her research interests include mediators of cognitive development in children, and her published work has appeared in Pediatrics. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Rose cared for children at DrumHill Pediatrics in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Rose earned her medical degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine and holds a masters degree in clinical research, also from UCSD. She is board-certified in general pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.Dr. Rose is a San Diego native. Outside work, she stays active through running and enjoys spending time with her family (husband and son) and friends. Her husband, Brent, is a radiation oncologist who cares for cancer patients at UC San Diego Health. Dr. Rose speaks fluent Russian.
