Anne Bird, MBChB, is a board-certified adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist who specializes in treating children, teens and young adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She uses both medications and talk therapy (psychotherapy) in her practice.Dr. Bird serves as medical director of UC San Diego Healths outpatient psychiatry clinics in La Jolla. She is also involved in psychiatry resident education and supervision.Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2016, Dr. Bird ran a child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric service at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She also directed the Residency Training Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic also at Mount Sinai. Dr. Bird completed residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she served as chief resident of the Triple Board Program, a combined five-year residency in pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from the University of Bristol Medical School in England.
