Horrible customer service! I bought the lifetime warranty on brake pads a few years ago. I had trouble with them two years ago and brought the old pads in and gave them my info. They looked me up in their system and exchanged the pads no problem. I went back in today to get new pads and was told by the manager they could not find my info. In their system. The manager said I had to have the original receipt. He also said the part on their brake pad was not a pep boys part.I called the Corporate office and was basically told it is at the store manager's discretion if they want to honor the warranty. I will never shop at pep boys again...

Bought tires in 2014, a little over a year later took them in to get replaced under warrenty. Service guy who did the original tires in 2014 forgot to wite down my milage, so now they say my warrenty is void and I have to purchase new tires. WTF. Worst place I've ever been.

we bought tires there a while back it took over 6 hrs for them to install and we had to wait there ..then one of the tires had a defect and it was still under warranty but they wanted 85 dollars to replace it. my husband said noway so they charged us 45. whats the warranty for ? i will NEVER GO BACK

TERRIBLE service! The workers are lazy and rude. I spoke to two different employees on the same day about my "problem" and they did not know what they were doing. It is not worth the trouble to get some thing "fixed" and end up with some thing else damaged. I will never go there again! I would not recommend going there for anything involving their service department.

Absolutely horrible! I took my car in for rear brakes and after seven trips back to pepboys my car was still not driving right. After smoke started coming from my tire and continuos vibration in my steering wheel that was never there before, I Took it to Toyota and they discovered $1100 worth of damage because pepboys used a crow bar and a hammer to get my tire off damaging the hubb! Toyota stated that whomever was working on my car had no idea what they were doing and made my car unsafe to drive, yet I was told seven times " I'm good to go" from the so called mechanics at pepboys.

When calling around I found that Pep Boys had the best quote on tires. I made an appointment for 2pm at 10am. When I got there at 1:30 and spoke to someone behind the counter they said that my quote number was not valid. Of course they gave it to me anyways. I decided to wait but after an hour my car did not move. So I left figuring they would start soon. 6 people came after me and left before my car even moved. I finally got my car back at 6pm. What was worse is I only got 2 tires (for the front end) and the reason they claimed it took so long was because they rotated my balled tires to the front and put the new ones on back. I have front wheel drive! I would not recommend going here for anything involving their service department. They are all idiots or crooks!

On March 7th,2008 I took my car to this location to have the brakes looked at because they were making a funny noise. When I allowed the people at this store to look at my car it took them 1 hr and 19 min. to look at my car and tell me that I needed an entirely new brake system in my car and that if I didn't let them fix my car that the brakes will fail and that I would have an accident. The evaluation said that my car did not have any pads/drums left that my car was leaking brake fluid and that I needed four new tires on the car but the tires I had were only 8 months old and I had bought them from Pep Boy's . The total bill would be $821.29 (not including new tires). So because I did not have any trouble stopping my car or getting it to move I decided just pay for the diagnostic fee and take the car to someone else. So after leaving Pep Boy's I took my car the Midas and they looked at my car and told me that a I did need new pads and that I could use new rotors on the front but everything else was fine and they said that there was no evidence of any fluid leaking in the rear brakes like Pep Boy's said. So problem with Pep Boy's is that I expect that small mechanic companies are going to try to take advantage of women because they assume that women do not know how to work on cars but I expected better of this company that they would try to have some kind of integrity and honesty that they would not use fear tactics and unneeded charges to try to make money off of someone that they feel does not know a lot about cars. In the future if you do not know much about cars then please, please try to stay away from this company because they will try to take you for every dime you have. Even though the work that they preform on your car is not needed.
