I was having trouble with the door locks on my Honda CRV. The master lock would lock before I could open the door. I would have to make sure I grabbed the handle before the lock would engage. Many times the master lock would win. It was so bad I would have to have my hand on the car handle and click the remote to unlock and pull the handle before the lock would snap. I would be driving and the lock would open and lock constantly. Took it to Traffic Jamz and Jimmie, an all-around hard working and honest person, checked out my lock problem and solved it. His work is excellent, guaranteed, and definitely not overpriced. A lot cheaper than taking the car to the dealer. Will be sure to go back should any other problem arise that would require his expertise.

WOW!! Had a wonderful morning with the owner, thought I would have to pay an arm and leg Surprise, hardly a dime.

He was concerned that we need to fix the door latch for my safety and keep someone from stealing my truck or breaking in.

Well within 15 minutes he saids; "all done" minor adjustment, and then stated, this is your bill. BTW if something should pop up I will fix it."

He always knows his stuff and works with you to get the job done.

Thanks a million...

Despite the negative reviews, I wanted to try a new place after having audio services done at Car Toys (810 NE Loop 820, Hurst, TX 76053) on two separate occasions. Their install was a nightmare! I could go on about this, but this review is about Traffic Jamz - Keller. I do have one major problem with my installation from Traffic Jamz......................I can't stop opening my trunk to look at the detailed workmanship in awe!

Upon walking in, I notice that the shop was very clean compared to all the other shops I looked into after my nightmare with Car Toys. This showed me that the owner is very detailed and serious about his business. I was greeted by Jimmy and I explained my concerns with Car Toys' quality of work. I showed him my obvious concerns and he pointed out several not-so obvious concerns. Next, I proceeded to let him know what my visions were. Then, we scheduled a day to drop off my car.

The day I dropped off my car, Jimmy took the time to explain to me how a subwoofer works and the required box specifications for my two subwoofers. After calculating the specs, I learned that Car Toys, along with their terrible woodwork, built a box that was extremely too small to run two 12" JL Audio subs which answered my main complaint - I wasn't getting the sound that I felt two JL 12" subs should sound like.

I've had my car back for a few days now. It took a few days to get it back, but when I did, I was shocked and amazed! The installation is a HUGE contrast to Car Toys' work. Instead of treating my car like cattle - get it in and get it out (Car Toys style), Jimmy took a few days to get it perfect and you can see the perfection in his work. He even showed me a sketch he made (based on the style of my trunk) with detailed measurements. Jimmy is truly a master at his craft and his customer service from start to finish is second to none - he even called me from time to time, usually after business hours, to explain the progress he was making. I would refer him to friends or anyone for that matter and I will be returning for more customization work. Thanks Traffic Jamz!

Perfection

Traffic Jamz is the only car audio shop I'll deal with. Simply because Jimmy knows what he's talking about. He's helped me numerous times piece a system together cheaply and it lasts forever. I bought 2 memphis power reference 10's a few years back along with a probox super bass box. Last year my trunk was flooded and I thought for sure everything was toast. Sure enough everything still bumps hard. I need a new box but the subs are just fine. Don't let the bad reviews trick you, if you want something done right the first time Traffic Jamz is the place to go.

If I could give them no stars,...

If I could give them no stars, I would. We scheduled an appointment for 1 p.m. today. Get there at 1 p.m. only to be told that 3 other appointments had been scheduled in the 90 minutes since we made our appointment. This owner is a real piece of work. Customer Service is absolutely HORRIBLE!! Save your sanity and your money and find someone that cares about their business.

Perfection

I have to say the word perfect is hard to come by these days but I found it at Traffic Jamz. I have a very unique vehicle, one of only 400 made. I came to Traffic Jamz for car security and met the owner Jimmy. I liked Jimmy right from the start because he is up front and honest. My vehicle was treated with respect as if he owned it. The install was beyond perfect and everything has worked exactly as Jimmy explained it. I have been to Best Buy and all the other a like stores that bang the install out and it never works for long and or the quality is zero. The product is only as good as the installer. I also enjoyed the attitude of Jimmy, he sold me on what I needed but I decided to go all out simply on what I wanted. Last, I would like to point out the rediculous review from the "I Pod" guy... For my remote start/security install most of my trim panels were removed and replaced with NO rattles. I own an Infinity as well but have no rattles... Could be the driver!! I can't wait for Traffic Jamz to do my stereo. Thank You Jimmy for all of your help and advice!

I must say, Jimmy is an except...

I must say, Jimmy is an exceptional business man, at 17 yrs of age i went there for a sub-woofer amp box head unit and instillation, i had 1,300.00 jimmy made that money well worth it, none of my BMW 328i's carpet was ripped all wires were hidden, I WILL be bringing my s10 up there for 3 more Memphis audio 10's another Memphis amp, and a new head unit absolutely loved how my 10'' sub could out preform 2 12's. HE KNOWS WHAT IS IS TALKING ABOUT. I remember when I went to pick it up after school. I could hear my sub-woofer going off and rattling the store, money well spent, only problem was the amp overheated maybe bigger gauge wire? or just no air circulating in the trunk. Will be stopping in tomorrow to receive quotes for my s10.

SUPER PLACE! Professional, clean, knowledgable. Looked the work over when they were done, couldnt find where they worked on it! The best work Ive ever seen is the work you cant find! You cant ask for better! Jimmy and Shannon know their stuff and you will get an answer to your questions. Ive been to the store on several occassions and Ive never heard "I dont know" They know or they find out. Thats very important to me. If I take the time to patron a store I expect an answer and with Traffic Jamz thats exactly what you get! I took the time to write this because everyone needs a good place they can trust to repair their vehicles. You just found it. This place can fix anything! WOW cant say enough about them. By the way, when was the last time you were excited enough to write a review on someone? think about it.

Bad Customer Service Experience

I went to Traffic Jamz in Keller, TX to get a USA SPEC iPod adapter and SpecDoc ashtray doc installed. I wanted to get it professional installed so that I would have no worries. I had taken my vehicle to the dealer two times to get dash squeaks fixed and I let Jimmy know that he should be conscious to make sure that he does not reintroduce those squeaks.

I paid a deposit to hold an install time and brought the car back on the install date almost a week later. When I arrived at 9AM for the install Jimmy informed me that he had discussed the install with his associate and didn't want to do. He said because the car had previous rattles he didn't want to do it? What kind of installer is incapable of reinstalling interior panels so that they are tight and won't rattle? Fine, they are incapable of doing a quality job and are scared about that. While I find that ridiculous, they do have the right to refuse to do a job. They refunded my deposit and I left.

They should have notified me prior to the scheduled intall date. They should have notified me BEFORE taking my deposit in the first place. They had all of my contact information, they could have called prior to me arriving, yet they did not. They could have called days earlier. These guys have horrible customer service, and I will never go there again and I would never recommend them.

While I don't know the quality of their work, if they are scared about reinstalling the interior panels correctly I would steer clear of these guys. If you have a basic stereo install they are probably decent, but so is Best Buy.

Sometimes tough decisions must be made in life. When a customer comes into your business complaining copiously about the inability of the dealership to soothe his wife's irritation over some rattles and squeaks in her vehicle after multiple attempts, the red flags begin to raise. The next "clue" appears when the customer tells you repeatedly that he has installed similar devices himself in the past, but wants a "professional" to do it this time because of the rattles in the car, and he doesn't want to have to listen to his wife complain about "new" rattles if he does it. Whether the rattles are really new,or just the same old ones - remember, perception is reality. Sometimes the more a person talks, the more he says, if you know what I mean. When a customer repeatedly tells you that your knowledge and expertise are only benefical to him so he doesn't have to deal with his spouse over an ongoing, unresolved issue, not because he does not possess that knowledge or ability himself, nor because he is simply too busy to complete the very "simple" task he has sought you out to do, he is essentially telling you that his problem is about to become your problem. Apparently, this job was not about installing an iPod adapter and specialized ashtray mounted docking port, but rather about passing the responsibility (and liability) on to someone else. So, now you gotta ask yourself a question. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya? You can take the job and accept the possibility of dealing with problems you did not create simply because you were inside the vehicle, or you can pass on the opportunity and take your chances with bad publicity. Brendan Behan (an Irish author and dramatist) once said, "There is no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary." Oscar Wilde's take was " The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." Most of us want to make carefully thought out decisions, especially when our livelihoods and reputations are on the line. Traffic Jamz has been in business for twelve years, and Jimmy has been in the industry for over twenty years. That in itself speaks volumes, especially in difficult and uncertain economic times like those of today. Perhaps a snap decision would have fit Brian's timetable better, but obviously there was more at stake for Traffic Jamz than for Brian. Take aways: 1. Don't try to push your problems off on someone else. 2. Be an adult and exercise personal responsibilty. 3. Face to face communication reflects respect and demonstrates sincerity. 4. Remember there are always at least two sides to every story. 5. Careful and thoughtful decisionmaking takes time, and effort. 6. Honesty IS the best policy, every time.

I heard about Jimmy and Traffic Jamz awhile back and I had a 2001 Chevy S10 that I had a sound system in it and wanting to have it transfer into my new 2006 Chevy Cobolt and when he removed the systems he told me how bad the other company that installed the sound it was a surprise if the truck don't start a fire so he removed all the old stuff and I decided to start all over and build a new system he told me about Memphis and so we came up with a plan and I have all new components and the sound system is awesome and between all of this I upgrade my radio and my alarm system and now I have a great sound system. Whenever I have a problem with my alarm or my sound system Jimmy is there and if someone asked where I go I tell them about Jimmy and Traffic Jamz.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST-PERIOD-BAR NONE. I recently bought a used suv, 2 days later it wouldnt start, I looked on my phone for a place to help me out, i suspected the alarm system was to blame. Called Jimmy at Traffic Jamz in Keller tx, he did a service call for me and got it started. It was the alarm. After he got us to his place of business, a closer inspection revealed a horror story under the dash. No wonder it wouldnt start, all the messed up wiring. WELL LET ME TELL YOU, Jimmy removed the alarm(that probably was an OK alarm but the person who put it in before obviously didnt have a clue) and he installed a new one(Very professionally I might add) and now it works great, we even upgraded it to a remote start feature that I love on these cold mornings! Jimmy does great work, he fixed everything the other people messed up and showed me the before and after pictures,WHAT A DIFFERENCE it makes when you have someone who KNOWS WHATS GOING ON! I cannot reccomend him enough!

Great place!

Does excellent work, they are personally resposible for me still having my car. I had a Viper alarm installed on my car there. I was at school at TCC and somea$$hole tried to steal my car, they were not able to because they could not find the alarm to disable it. Talking to Jimmy after that he explained it was because they go to great lenghts to hide the alarm and the alarm wires so thieve's cannot find them, thus they are not able to disarm the alarm and steal you car. It made perfect sense, if you cant find it, you cant disarm it.

Jimmy has since done ALL my cars and will do ALL my cars from now on. If you looking for a QUALITY car audio shop you have just found it. They also do lots of other stuff, like if your electric window doesnt work, they can fix it and pretty much anything else that is electric on your vehicle. If its an electronic something on your ride they can fix it. They even put electric locks on my van that didnt have them to start with and interfaced them with my alarm, now it locks and unlocks just like if it had factory electric locks.

Go see Jimmy, resonable prices and best of all, its a nice CLEAN shop and thats the way they work too, CLEAN.

This is a greta place for all your car audio, navingation, bluetooh, basicly anything you need for your car or SUV. Excellent installs, not that bogus free install you got at best buy that quit after a couple of weeks, these peopel are serious. In fact I got a lifetime warranty for as long as I own it. They have more stuff than you could imagine and even more at their disposal. Car alarms, remote start. My Blazer rocks the house down now, thanks Jimmy

Great Place for Car Stereos

I went to Traffic Jamz to see about replacing my old car stereo. I had previously had a 'system' installed at another place that offered FREE INSTALLATIONS. I got what I paid for there. They about ruined my car, or so I thought. I spoke To Jimmy, the owner of Traffic Jamz who looked at my car, told me he could certainly fix the issue. I had doubts, but the price he quoted me was more than fair and he even tried to save me money by showing me the sales he was currently running. A very professional man who shows his years of experience in conversation, he kept my car for half a day and sent me away with a working stereo system that sounds awesome!!!!!!!! Will go to see him for my security system in the near future!
