The owner has an overly inflated ego, false sense of entitlement, pride, greed, and lust for control and thirst for drama.

He will be single handedly personally responsible for destroying the livelihood of almost 50 remaining employees and his indebtedness of massive proportions are affecting many more. He feels no guilt or shame about anything but what is due him.

9 stores have closed. Times are hard, but Rod Henning has personally created this reality due to greed, and again, his false sense of entitlement.

He's one of the rudest, most unethical, vindictive, master manipulator, type A personalitied individual with absolutely no moral compass, you will ever meet. In addition his other attributes are: he is perversely unreasonable, micromanaging, ocd, crazy, abusive, psychotic. An individual who truly exhibits in his every waking breath he has no conscience, guilt, honor, loyalty nor soul.

His stores are ruled by promises of bonus and incentives for good performance, and then he resorts to underhandedness, lies, tyranny, bullying, and ultimate fear solely for the purpose of not following through.

Caveat emptor "Let the buyer beware" should be revised to "Let the Seller beware" when dealing with Rod Henning. His whole business plan evolves around dishonesty tinged with subliminal lines of corruption. He intentionally lures vendors into selling to him and openly admitting to others, he has no intention of paying. He pays no one, and then delves into the wealth of ex-employees to place the blame, by lies and deceit. Should they perchance gain access to talk to him, he lies, twists verbiage, gets flat out angry, threatening and rude and ends the conversation.

Hallmark is actively suing the devil out of him, others are starting to.

He has single handedly affected the lives of employees in shutting down 9 other stores without one iota of thought or guilt. He will no doubt not bat an eyelash at wreaking havoc on the remaining 5.

Should you be one of the current employees? Run don't walk to the nearest exit because Rod Henning won't go down with his sinking ships, he'll jump and whoever's left will feel the fallout of his nastiness and greed.
