They just want your money..... lot of unnecessary work just to increase billable hours.

Kudos to you RG ! You are spot on about these jokers. Recently went through a divorce and my ex hired the Colgan Firm to represent her. There was absolutely no need for either of us to retain lawyers but she went ahead..... they filed this and that and this and that all with the intent, in my opinion, to make money. I even asked for 1 of our 3 dogs and was told "my client does not think that should happen". Where we lived it is technically illegal to have more than 2 dogs without a kennel license. But still, I had to spend money because of that issue and fight it. Still got the dog but they should have advised their client she would not win- assuming they did not. Anyway, I made out MUCH better with her being represented by Colgan than if we did not have lawyers. In my opinion, they did way, way too much simply to pad their wallets. In my opinion, watch out for them- they have a huge staff and are all about making the $$. Overall, worked out great for me !!! P.S. They were so focused on the dribble that there were glaring things about our situation they missed. Thanks again!! In my opinion, if you want someone to get the short end I strongly recommend you convince them to hire the Colgan Law Firm.

If the Mickey Mouse Club handed out Law Degrees these folks would be valedictorians. Unbelievably how much time they spend on the trivial and how many people they have in their office that do stuff simply to bill the client for time. Final outcome, was better off that they were involved. They are very unprofessional and do not return calls, especially to other attorneys- there is a code, common professional courtesy if you will, and they simply do not follow. If you have money, a lot of time, are not very important but want to be made to feel as you are and spend that money then by all means- these are your attorneys! ****** July 11, 2014******** Attempting to reply to Ann from the other day I now find that I am unable to post another review/reply. Apparently they find my honest comments to much to bear? I stand 100% behind what I said previously. There were multiple parties representing a client in a case against their client and several calls were simply not returned, at all. The ones that were returned were not done so by an attorney. They chose to have their "staff" reach out. People do not hire attorneys to have them contacted by staff.... regardless of what they claim they are not practicing within the spirit of fair play and will do whatever, however frivolous, they can in order to increase billable hours. Due to the anonymity of the internet if another attorney posted this review, which based on some of the language in the review that could be the case, posting a false review would be unethical. Unfortunately, some attorneys we have to deal with in writing as having a record is sometimes necessary based on their inconsistent representations and our obligation is always to our clients. We strive to return phone calls and always maintain open lines of communication with opposing counsel but will always represent our client's interests while maintaining "common professional courtesy" with opposing counsel.

I hired this firm to handle my divorce and child custody issues following the divorce. The attorneys and firm employees were attentive and kind in their manner of handling such a difficult situation. I was glad to have such caring individuals voicing my concerns to the Court and advising me of my rights as a parent. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Efficient and accommodating. I got the answers I needed.
