The staff at Vision Eye Care in Kalamazoo, is very caring, and thorough. Dr.Abduhlhak Munzer was aware of my anxieties and fears of the cataract surgery. He was patient and very encouraging to me as a first time patient. Dr. Munzer is an excellent surgeon. He is very knowledgeable of my needs and of other patients. I would recommend Vision Eye Care and Dr. Munser of Kalamazoo to anyone needing the services offered by Vision Eye Care. My vision, after the cataract surgery on my right eye, totally amazes me. Am looking forward to surgery on my left eye on 6-18-2018. Thank you Dr. Munser and office staff.T. Bennett 6-13-2018

Two years ago I'd been having problems with my right eye. Went to one Ophthalmologist and he recommended vitamin D-1, come back in two weeks and sent me a bill for over two hundred dollars for the first visit (after they'd said they would accept my Ascension Health insurance). Didn't go back for the second visit-- totally disgusted with the first visit. Went to an Optician ( Pearle Vision) who told me that I had a saran wrap eye (looking at objects thru me right eye was seeing things thru a saran wrap lens). He told me a surgeon in GR could possibly fix it but the surgery was 50% successful. Didn't like that. Went to a second Ophthalmologist located at a Kalamazoo hospital. Didn't change my prescription (even though I couldn't read the first line of an eye chart) and told me I was developing a cataract. No explanation as to what that was. A month and a half ago my good eye (left one) developed a huge floater and hundreds of floating black dots along with lightning in the back of the eye. Immediately went to Vision Eye Care. They found my problem with the eye and helped me with it. They also found my problem with the right eye. It was a cataract as a matter of fact both eyes had cataracts. I had my surgery on the right eye two weeks ago and my left eye today. Wow I have twenty/twenty with my right eye and can't tell yet about the left because I jut had it done today. Wow it's good to see again. The staff was very professional, friendly and on top of what needed to be done. Dr Abdulhak was excellent. He knew what he was doing and knew how to get the problem resolved all the while treating me with respect, friendliness and professionalism.

I found Dr. Abdulhak and the rest of the team to be very knowledgeable and caring. Patient education is stressed. There is a nice selection of glasses and sunglasses. I found the office to be clean and nice.

They are a good eye doc but u need to make sure u don't have nothing planned for that day becuse your apt is never on time it's runs late say is 9 u will get put in a room and won't see the doc for about a hr and a half later
