Book some other whale watch tour or book your excursion through your cruise line !

My husband and I took the trip of a life-time - booked an Alaska cruise and had made a reservation to go whale watching with Dolphin Jet Boat Tours. We paid in full 4 months in advance for a tour departing Juneau at 3:00 p.m. On the day our ship pulled into Juneau, we had another excursion booked for the morning, (Mendenhall Glacier) but knew we'd have plenty time - we were to meet the tour operator at 2:45 p.m. on the pier. We got there at 2:40 p.m. and waited, and waited, and waited. Nobody showed up so finally at 3:10 I called the office - and was told "oh, we cancelled that tour, there weren't enough people". We tried calling you. I checked my cell phone and there were no missed calls.

I don't want to sound overly melodramatic, but this was our once in a life-time vacation and a dream of mine to go whale watching for many, many years. As our ship was due to leave port at 7:00 p.m. it was too late to book another whale watch tour. I was bitterly disappointed.

When we got home after our trip, we had a voice mail message on our phone - listened to it and it was from Dolphin Jet Boat Tours - telling me that they had cancelled the tour and that if we wanted, we better hurry to the docks to take the 12:00 tour. SHE NEVER CALLED MY CELL - she called my home #. As we weren't there (obviously) we never got that message.

Now, I have been fighting with them to get my money back - I've been getting the "run-around" from them. I've called every day and they keep telling me they'll have to "check into it" and call me back.

I'm afraid we've been "had" - don't let this happen to you - book your excursions directly with your cruise ship so you won't be disappointed !!!
