Horrible customer service

I have never written a review before, but I had such poor customer service when I presented to this office that I thought others should know.My husband was hit by car while riding his motorcycle 2 summers ago. The person driving the car pulled out in front of him and was at fault. My husband sustained ankle and back injuries that almost made him lost his flight status, not to mention the pain he will be in for the rest of his life. This case took so long that when our settlement was finally available he had deployed. (don't even get me started on the amount of the settlement or the lack thereof....OR the ridiculous amount we owed to "Pete").I received a letter in the mail that stated these exact words "I have tried calling you, but your telephone was turned off. The settlement check and release regarding your automobile accident has been received and so you need to come in and endorse the check and sign the release in order to conclude this matter." Silly me, I actually thought law offices used proper grammar when mailing out requests such as that letter. Since my husband was deployed, I called to inquire if I could obtain the check using the power of attorney and his orders. The lady on the other end of the phone requested that I come in with the papers that day. When I presented she was out buying a vacuum and they couldn't help me!When I returned about 30 minutes later (mind you I left work to run this errand) she took the power of attorney and the orders from me and said something to the effect of "well sweetie, we will see if this will work". I'm 30, don't talk to me like I'm wet behind the ears. When I politely inquired, she mentioned something about insurance companies not honoring power of attorneys. Interesting. About a week later they had to make several phone calls to reach me. I informed them when I showed up the first time that I worked full time (and by full time I mean about 60 hours a week...I'm active duty as well) as well a full time graduate student. So their 9-5 business hours aren't really conducive to my needs.A few days later when I had an opportunity to return their call she was amazingly able to make an appointment for me on a Saturday to pick up the check. I did so....or so I thought...they did tell me I was all set before I left the building. When I arrive to speak to her and "Pete" you could just see the evil in both their eyes. All they want is your money. They don't care what actually happened to you. They don't even try.Two days later I received a voicemail from the secretary stating that "when you were in the other day you forgot to sign the release". I FORGOT?!So I called her. She stated it again "you forgot to sign the release"...when I said to her "I did?, I am your customer, you forgot to have me sign it!". She immediately began to raise her voice and mentioned that I was difficult to work with. She also informed me that I was "just another snotty military wife". To which I replied "yup, just after my husband's money". I verified that they needed their portion out of that check which "I forgot" to release. She confirmed. She also confirmed that I had 6 months to sign it. Guess I'll be back in 5 months and 3 weeks or so....when it's convenient for me. :)If they treated two military officers this way...how do you think they are going to treat you?
