Stay away. I thought it would be worth while to support a local small business to get more personable service in exchange for slightly higher prices on most quotes. Not the case.



The part I asked to have diagnosed was not. I was still charged for it. When asked to show me the part which needed replacement the tech tried to open my hood and it was jammed. He out right denied any chance of him having caused the damage and offered no help despite admitting the hood was working fine when he first opened it to diagnose the reason for bringing the car in.



You would think if a customer just had a bad experience at your shop (and not knowing what caused it) you would offer some reason for them to return or at least show some concern. None of it. I was charged full price for an incomplete diagnostic and sent home with my hood jammed. There wasn't even a safety concern on their part that the hood might open up on me while driving so they shouldn't risk letting the car leave the lot.



What's worst is I didn't hear back from the manager for 2+ weeks since he was on vacation. He initially at least offered to credit back the diagnosis charge but then called back 10minutes later having heard an embellished story from the tech and proceeded to cancel my refund. Awesome customer service indeed! He said its a matter of principle for him to believe his "senior" tech over the customer and has no problems losing a customer over $50.



Steer clear and go to more reputable established shops where if you by chance experience an issue like this, you can at least escalate the problem to someone more responsible and business savvy who would be interested in retaining their customers.

I got the greatest deals on my tires from TireRack.com. They have the best prices on tires. And the greatest new service is that my tires that I ordered online, were sent the the shop of my choice....Epic Auto Care in Jersey City. I never "laid a finger on my tires". The tires were delivered in one day. Then Epic Auto Care contacts you upon receiving the tires and schedules an appointment. You will never get this kind of service going to a tire shop such as Sears, Firestone, STS. First of all, they rarely have your exact tire in stock, and they charge you a fortune, and they'll try to get you into a "no name" brand. Epic Auto Care was my choice, because they are clean, precise, and very knowledgeable. The location was convenient for me, the Light Rail Station was one block away. It's a plus for NYC commuters like me.
