Satisfied in choosing Eagle Van Lines for my move. They moved everything, quickly and with great care and the entire process from booking to the actual move could not have been easier.

Our moving experience with them is the worst among all the 4-5 moving companies we have ever used. Here are the experience:

1. They are one hour late than the originally scheduled time.

2. They broke somethings during move, but never told us. We only found out much later after they left.

3. There are all kinds of tricks to raise the price and charge you more money. If you ever consider to use them, remember to request a a written price cap and don't pay them a cent before they fully unload your stuff. Don't trust anything they say.

I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. Good luck to anyone who use them.

I used them based on the good reviews on internet. Now I realize most of the positive reviews I read were most probably are written by alpha moving themselves. You can tell that by the fake tone in those five star reviews. It is almost laughable and definitely too good to be true.

I used Eagle van lines before, we have used them 4 times already and in spite of these old bad reviews we used them again, (late time was in Aug 2014) So we were not surprised when they showed up on time, we were more than happy to watch the crew wrap and load up everything into one of their own trucks carefully and pretty quickly (I thought) my wife thought they could of did it faster! I think because one of our beds with a bridged headboard takes a little more time to take apart. (This would be the 2 time this particular team was moving us) Seon, was the head guy and he ran the show for us before (very smart and helpful individual) They did the whole move in 9 hours which again,I thought would of taken at least 12 hours. Eli had given us estimate for 11 hours plus some packing supplies for our TV's and some pictures a few mirrors and our lamps. over all his estimate was 79.00 more than the final bill, his estimate was 1,120.00 we ended up paying $1,041.00 ( I gave the team an extra 150.00 for such a great job!) I hope to see this up on Yelp with the other reviews they keep up and Hector ask me to mention that After I Told Him I was writing the review on yelp.. Eagle van lines out of Jersey City is one of the reasonable and caring moving company out there, they have all the right equipment, attitude and experience, to give anyone a satisfying move with a great out come no headaches or arguing or damages just a easy going team of guys doing a [professional service that will certainly impress what hard workers they really are! Moving? Hire Eagle van lines with out a hesitation!

I have used Eagle Van lines 3 times in the last year. One move for my daughter from New Jersey to New York. Excellent service and very professional. Price was very reasonable. When my daughter decided to move back to New Jersey a year later I went back to a Eagle. Again, a wonderful experience.

We were lucky to have Sandy Not hit us too hard,we also used Eagle van lines to move us in a new place in Jersey City and we can't say anything but good things about this company. the estimate we got (over the phone) was actually almost the amount we paid for the move. We did use a lot of boxes and most of all our furniture was professionally packed. Hector was extremly helpfull both before and during our move,he sent me a really good team of 4 men that worked non stop from the time they arrived until the job was complete. They were so helpful, careful,and fast! We had a crew foreman nome Zeon that supervised the guys (not that they needed to be supervised) As these guys all knew what they were doing and each one contribute to make our move a fast and safe move. We had no damages nor were we missing anything (like the last time we moved with another company)

When we first called for an estimate,the man on the phone told me the best way to get an accurate estimate was for him to send someone to my home.At first I did want someone walking all over my place looking around,however the gentleman that came was very pleasing and jolly fellow!He put us at ease right away,when he did his walk through he mentioned on how to save by packing somethings ourselves and gave me a few pointers on how to wrap certain items.The guy knew what he was talking about and did not hesitate to let me know what would be the Cheapest way to go!! That was something (usually they try to add extra charges for everything) I've moved twice before and both moves were nightmares! I have to say that calling Eaglevanlines Was the best thing I did and use them was the smartest! It was such a pleasure to have these guys do our move that it was like night and day from the last time we moved!

I have never experienced a move as smooth as with Eagle Van Lines. The owner of the company came to my house and gave me a binding price. It was a little higher than other estimates but it was binding and the other companies did not have an A+ rating with the BB. Zion and his crew showed up 20 minutes late but no big deal. They were professional and courteous. They worked hard. I bought them lunch. It seemed like other people have not done this in the past and if you have not I can only say, "shame on you". I have moved 11 times in my life so I know what I am talking about! These 3 men were the best. I cannot give this company a higher recommendation than the one I am giving them now. I have now used Eagle Van Lines twice in three years for two local moves and found them to be excellent. Eli was very courteous to deal with and having worked with them once, gave me a very good price for the second move. Both teams and foreman were very good. Nothing was too much trouble and I enjoyed working with them. They all worked incredibly hard and I would be very happy to use them again.

Great service, fast, efficient, and personable .

We looked high and low and researched like 10 different moving companies and Eaglevanlines keeped coming up on our searches .I called their 888 number and spoke with a young lady that made an appointment for an estimator to come and give us what she called a binding estimate.The man that came to my home did a very quick survey and even gave me ideas on packing somethings myself so it would be cheaper then if they packed it for us. Showing me ways to save money??? A First!! Later I found out that the man that came was actually the owner of Eaglevanlines (Eli) He gave us a $765.00 price and when I received my bill it was $750.00 (Another First!). The guys that moved us were very nice gentle and professional.It was all done carefully and NO DAMAGES! I will highly recommend Eaglevanlines to all my family and friends these are the best of the best and when it comes to moving they are at the top of their game! You guys are really great people and professional thank you for a job well done!

We resently moved from the city into new Jersey and used Eagle vanlines,I was very happy with the way these guys showed up ontime and with no issues they did everything with a good sense and we had not one problem! No damages! No extra cost! No Hidden fees! I mean compared to the last movers I used, these guys were just awesome! I was burned last time by movers and almost moved myself this time! However after having Nir come to my home and gauranteed a price, I took them on and they deliver!! We went with Eagle Van Lines for a local move. Our quote from them was not the lowest but it was reasonable and I went with them since they were in good standing with BBB. After booking them I came across the reviews on Yelp and was terrified.



To my surprise the move went very smoothly. The movers showed up on time and the move was completed exactly within the time they had quoted. The guys were very pleasant and worked very hard. The furniture was intact no scratches, dings or damage and the house we moved into was also not damaged in any way during the move.



Eli was great to work with. He was extremely responsive and available.



I would definitely recommend Eagle Van Lines. Will be using them again for our next move!

First off, I must say the move was absolutely great. The men were very careful with my items especially the grandfather clock. I didn't have any time to have a onsite estimate done but Melody provided a very accurate estimate after I told her what I'm moving from Queens, NY to Lodi, NJ. All in all, the move went perfect. No damages or complaints. I already have my friend interested in moving with you guys in a month.

I used Alpha Movers to move from NJ to NYC a 2 bedroom apartment, at the end of Dec. 2010.

And I can say without being subjective that it was one of the worst experience I ever had with a service company:

- The movers were inexperienced, broke several items, a home theatre got lost during the moving.

- They worked as slowly as they could in order to extend the overall "working" time .

- The truck broke down on the way to the new destination, it took 2 hours to fix it and I was charged for these hours.

- The truck abandoned the highway and wandered in Jersey City for about 1 hour for no reason, except to charge time.

- The movers were also rude and sometimes offensive.



I would never recommend this company for any kind of service.

An other important observation: never hire a moving company with hourly payment, because they will do everything they can to extend the time to the maximum.

Issue 1) NEVER TRUST THEIR ESTIMATE. THEY WILL NOT COME HOME TO ESTIMATE AND ON THE DAY OF THE PICK UP, THEY WILL GIVE YOU SHOCKERS.

My estimate was 1598, and I ended up paying 1808 (that too after a lot of negotiation and frustration)

I was still charged $75 for packing the TV, which they DID NOT EVEN PACK!



Issue 2) THEY WILL LEAVE A MESS BEHIND AT THE DESTINATION. NONE OF THE FURNITURE WILL BE PLACED WHERE IT SHOULD BE.

Me and my husband had to assemble the bed too.



Issue 3) Once your shipment has been picked up or once you are booked with them, you will have to call dispatch atleast 10 times to resolve any pending issue.

And for long distance moves, you will NEVER get a delivery date. So people with elevator dependencies, DO NOT CHOOSE ALPHA.



Overall I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ALPHA TO ANYONE.
