The grand view as you pull int...

The grand view as you pull into the Jekyll Island Club Hotel is complimented by roaming deer at dusk and dawn. The staff members are eager and friendly. Upon entering my room, in what is called the Annex, I was pleasantly surprised by the historic furniture that was accented by pictures from the Clubs conception.



As with most historic buildings, the walls are thin and the floors creek with every movement which made for a disappointing night of little sleep. The constant shushing of drunks both outside and in the hall was complemented by the neighboring room enjoying what must have been a Law and Order marathon. I was disappointed that I wasn't invited to the dance party above my room too.



The aesthetics of this historic building were far superior to others in the area and if you would like to reminisce dorm room days on a Friday night after a football game, then this may be the hotel for you. As for me, I would rather sleep with the deer.
