Brookside Community Health Center is one of two health centers licensed by Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts. The health center provides comprehensive care with services in various areas, including adult medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, family planning, gynecology, dentistry, oral surgery, nutrition, mental health and social service. It serves more than 60,000 patients a year. The health center features a bilingual Spanish and English-speaking medical and professional staff. Its special services include a school dental program; orthodonture; case management; substance abuse services; mental health and support group programs for adults, adolescents, children, families and couples; prenatal parenting classes; breastfeeding support; and individual and group smoking cessation services. The health center offers free mammograms twice a year through the American Cancer Society. Brookside Community Health Center is located in Jamaica Plain, Mass.
