Old English Restaurant and Pub in a 104 year old building across from the Supreme Court House in downtown Jackson, MS. Close to several colleges and downtown professional buildings make it a hot spot to eat and party. "OLE TAVERN ON GEORGE STREET" is known as the "Ye Ole Gatherin Place". It is on the National Registry Of Historic Places which fills the ambiance with warm historic charm. The menu and daily specials list a wide verity of food like the King George Burger, Oyster or Shrimp Poboy, Country Fried Steak with Mash Potatoes and Lima Beans, Shrimp & Crabmeat Bisque, Pasta Tuna Stuffed Tomato, and the list goes on.... Prepared to perfection and plenty of it!!! Love everything about this place every time I go. A highly recommend local hot spot. At night it comes alive with DJ or live Entertainment until 2 am.
