We went to Sheryl for boundary issues with extended family. She advertised herself as a Christian counselor that specialized in boundaries and coping mechanisms. The cost of her sessions was a bit to swallow but we had faith she would be worth it. We were very clear about what was worth our time to discuss and what avenues we did not want to pursue. Our sessions often ran over because we would get derailed. She would try to pass this off as "free counseling" but it really was a diversion from our main purpose. The "solutions" that Sheryl provided were not Christian. They were confrontational and cruel and did not try to work things out in a peaceful way. I was discouraged to learn she herself had been married more than once. I felt her methods would tear down my marriage too.I felt personally attacked several times during her sessions.
