I did not have my cell phone to call the police. He was trying to push his Muslim religion. He did not like the response. Demanded a hand shake. Reported incident manager. She is a female lame duck. Then she encouraged me to speak to night manager. He is also a lame duck. He was ok with other gym members touching other gym members. The question was posed why didn't you call the police. The police would not have responded. BEWARE!!!! Do not sign a contract for personal training. I didn't know it was a membership with recurring charges, and have now lost over $3,200. I have used only 2 sessions out of over 60 and have moved states, so I have absolutely no hope of using them all. I feel cheated and ripped-off by the gym I used to love. No one let me know it was a membership. I believed it to be a one-time purchase of 8 sessions for $360. That was not the case. Because no one informed me otherwise, LA Fitness kept charging me without any notice. I should've been tracking on my credit card statement, but I didn't think to look because it was an old card. I want to emphasize the fact that I never received an email, phone call, or any warning that it was a membership.

The only way to be exonerated of the 11-month contract is to provide proof of relocation. Even though I am just the extra roommate who pays the main leaser, I got my name on the power-bill at my current residence. I must send this power-bill with my name on it to LA Fitness corporate in order to cancel the membership. This unfortunate situation has been a huge headache, and I feel terrible for losing the $3,200. Needless to say, I am not a happy customer. LA Fitness customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. I requested a refund and all they said is, "There's nothing I can do, personal training sessions are non-refundable." They honestly don't care about keeping customers. My bank is also unable to help because I signed the contract that no one explained to me. I believed the contract to be a form releasing them from liability if I were to get hurt during training, not an obligation to pay $360 a month for 11 months, and I'm sure the membership would auto-renew for another 11 months. I'm completely hopeless about getting the money back, and am extremely distraught over this.

I have to get my story out there because I don't want this to happen to anyone else! Save yourself the headache and please DON'T SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING!

On 5/2/2012 My wife was a member of youe la fitness in west covina, Her Brother was here from china so he went as a guest. She decided to sign him up for 30 membership as his visa from china was a 30 day visa. Remember, nither spoke very good english and they had no transulator to help. They charged her chase credit card $238.98 for a one year membership. Why in the world would they sign him up for one year when he was goung to only be in usa 1 month. When I say the charges on the chase card I call them and they indicated there was $200,00 membership plus 1 month charges of $38.98. Becaause of the communication problem my wife signed thinking that he could just pay for 1 month but $238,98 for one month??????? Also LA FITNESS just purchase this store from another helth club which my wife has still on here origional contract was 1 1/2 year. They told here that she had to start over with a new contract with la fitness & $$$$$$$$$$$ I cancel both memberships and needless to say there is no refund as the have a clause stating you only have seven (7) days to cance. That mean you must cancel before the charges come out on you chase monthly statement so you can see the charges.. LA FITNESS won't ever get our business and any of my friend I talk to which is approximately 300 Liping Wang
