Incorporated in 1977, American Durable s first order was to manufacture rectifiers for the military s M113 personnel carrier. The project led to the creation of many other military vehicle parts. In the 1980s, its customers included the U.S. Department of Defense and exporters of military vehicle parts to friendly nations. A diverse group of products was manufactured that ranged from brake shoes to voltage regulators. As a contract manufacturer, American Durable builds products to customer requirements. Many new items are tooled every year and its list of capabilities grows through the acquisition of equipment and the addition of personnel.
