Unorganized, put "holds" on mail without notifying recipients, rude carriers... enough to want to avoid Independence, Missouri altogether. Worst USPS branch I've ever encountered.

Most recently a package containing live fish was placed on a truck to be delivered but was placed on the wrong truck. Now I'm being told I can't come pick it up tonight because they close at 5 and drivers are out until 6. And they aren't sure which truck it went on so they are unable to contact a driver. This is on top of rent checks being destroyed from not picking up outgoing mail and being rained on. They refuse to pick up mail if there isn't anything being delivered. My rent has been late because of this causing me fines to my landlord. Terrible branch.

The exact reason why USPS is going under.I've lived at the same address OVER 17 years and WEEKLY my mail is delivered to the wrong place.Just last week a package was delivered to me (with a tracking number)for some poor soul blocks away. I've spoken with my mailman numerous times but it's been fruitless.I've called our Postmaster and nothing has changed. Yesterday, my adult son watch our mailman throw a package from the bottom of our front steps up to our door.I've been waiting on a package for my daughter's bday.I checked the tracking & It showed that it arrived yesterday WITH THE CORRECT ADDRESS ON THE BOX, but it was being returned because the carrier couldn't find the address AND EVEN WROTE A DIFFERENT ADDRESS ON THE BOX. So, thanks for nothing.YOU can't do your job & my child won't have his present.I spoken again with the business who confirmed the correct address on the box, too. The note in their system showed USPS changed the address after saying they couldn't find mine, wth!

They say that their not required to pick up your mail if your not getting any mail. When did this happen!

This office is a joke, constant misdelivery of mail and packages, Rude supervisors and a Post Master that just doesn't care that peoples mail is not being handled correctly.
