This is a great company. Tom, the owner, is the most knowledgeable mover I've met. He has pioneered some fantastic techniques that I've seen other companies using.

I highly recommend. Strong, professional crew, on time, in uniform, with tight standards.

I would NOT recommend Vanguard Moving Services to anyone! I tried them because I had a deadline that needed to be met- well I guess you get what you pay for. I hired them to move a piano from Harwich to my home in Sagamore, so that I would avoid having to concern myself with the well being of anyone I might ask to help me. I thought they were professionals. First off they took forever to get to my house, and I was very surprised to see that they had only sent two very small young people for the move up my flight of stairs. They struggled to get the piano up the inclined ramp for about 20 minutes, but the piano held its ground. Then just what I didn't want to happen- one of my very helpful but getting on in years in-laws who lives across the street came over and offered his help. To my shock the movers accepted his help and the piano was in my home within minutes. They charged me $558. When I called to express my disappointment with the way things had gone, the woman I spoke with told me that they would have managed to get the piano upstairs on their own. That was a complete lie. The piano was going nowhere until my in-law came to help them. You think she would have offered me a small discount for inconvenicing my in-law. After all $558 is a lot of money for a service that was only partially provided. The company lacked punctuality and professionalism- two traits every moving company should have in my opinion.
