We went to T&T to see what treasures we could find that someone had thrown out as junk. Our main intentions was to find some old cast iron skillets, pots and pans. We made it clear that we were looking for such items and anything neat. After spending about an hour digging, wading through ankle deep mud and water, we didn't find any cookware but did find an old hey trolly, some old pitch forks and some mechanics tools such as sockets and wrenches. When we get up front they, made me stand off to the side while the track down the owner. After about 10 minutes they tell us that the owner does not want to sell any of the tools or antiques. I then proceed to explain to them that we dug all the tools out of the mud from under other junk as well as the other stuff that we found buried and If we hadn't, they wouldn't have known it was there and now after we did all the work, they want to keep the findings for themselves. If they had made this clear up front we would never had wasted our time to find the treasures for them to keep. Their only reply was, it's their business and that's the way they run it and I can go open my own recycling if I didn't like it. Very poor customer treatment. Needless to say I didn't buy anything and well never do business with them again in Hurst or Benton IL.
