I called them because a saw their truck on the freeway when we were getting ready to move. I did not realize that it was the same company I had used 4 years ago. The guy answers "movers" .....I tell him where we are moving from and to and he asked the square footage of the house. He never asked what I had in the house, as far as pieces of furniture. He sends out a 2 man crew and a truck that is, according to him, supposed to hold a 2200sq ft house. Mine was only about 1750sq ft. Apparently I'm somehow supposed to know that mine is considered "heavily furnished". I didn't have wall to wall furniture, but I guess because all 4 bedrooms and the living room, family room and dining room had furniture it in, it was "heavily furnished". Needless to say there was not enough room in the truck for all of the furniture, not to mention the boxes that were ALREADY packed. We still had more packing left to do, but they weren't expected to take anything that wasn't taped shut. In addition to the initial move of the truck full, they wanted to charge another $250-$300 for the remainder....NO DISCOUNT, because I "should have told" him that it was "heavily furnished'. All he complained about was that we weren't all packed up, when that wasn't even in question. Everything that was packed and ready didn't fit on the truck they sent.....but I guess that is supposed to be my fault...really?? Then he calls my husband and says they aren't going to do the mini move because I'm too difficult to deal with. Wonderful customer service...NOT!!!
