I have been buying jewelry and custom pieces from Rudd for over 30 years. I have never been anything but very pleased with his work. Rudd consistently exceeds expectations with both the originality and quality of his work..

He is an exceptional craftsman!

I'm hoping to warn any & all-unsuspecting individuals from making the same mistake I recently made. This man is a complete thief!!! After doing a couple small jobs for me, such as replacing locks on a bracelet & small chain, I decided to trust him with a larger job.

Something I had wanted to do for many years, but could never find a person I could trust. I provided him my 14k White gold/diamond wedding band, of 20 years, and a priceless 140+ year old, White Gold/Diamond ring, (a family heirloom past down by my grandfather before his passing)..., & asked that the heirloom be melted & combined with the old shaft from my wedding band, re-cast to form a new solid 14k band for my wedding band.

This so called "Master Goldsmith", agreed to do the job without hesitation, took possession of my pieces & asked that I return in approximately 3 hours. Upon my return, he was just completing the job & was in the process of polishing his creation. I shiny new combination of 2 priceless solid gold pieces… Or so I thought….

After less than 3 months, the shaft COMPLETELY tarnished… Turned black/purple to be exact…. After taking it to now 3 reputable jewelers, it’s confirmed that the entire shaft if NOT gold at all… This thief of a goldsmith, robbed me of my 2 precious pieces of pure, solid 14k white gold & replaced it with a combination of low quality silver & other non-precious metals.

After a confrontation that involved police presence, I’m now in the process of taking legal actions against him. After a google search, I now see that I was not the first, & I’m sure wont be the last victim of Ruud Kahle….
