I usually go for a weekend breakfast. It can be a bit busy with a wait, but I'd say the wait is worth it. The waitstaff is friendly and the food is good.

I recently had Key’s Cafe cater a wedding reception and was extremely disappointed. During the three weeks leading up to the reception, when trying to finalize details, it was difficult to impossible to get email / phone responses in a timely manner. As such, final details were not worked out until only a few days prior to the reception. Regarding the reception itself, the sad fact is we ran out of food even though we stressed to the person in charge, that under no circumstance did we want that to occur. Even after ordering food for 15 people more than expected, and after perhaps a dozen or so expected guests did not show up, the last 25 people or so had only one of the two entree choices remaining. Of those 25 people, half of them were served half portions of dinner just to get by.

For anyone looking for a catering service, I recommend you look elsewhere.

DISAPPOINTED

Three of us went to breakfast this am, two of us first visit there. One pancake of one order was raw in the middle. All 3 orders of bacon were either burnt or limp (undercooked). Coffee was barely lukewarm. One egg was burnt and cold. Two orders Hash Browns cold. We waited about 15 min for our bill after we had finished eating. The waitress was told about the pancake not being done and she shrugged her shoulders but said nothing. The other two of us did not mention our complaints as there was no response to the first complaint. We had heard the service was extremely slow but wanted to see for ourselves along with the food. It is too bad and sad, Hudson needs a good place for breakfast with both good service and good food. It is not too much to expect the coffee to be hot, food hot, prepared reasonably well. We feel we threw our money away. We ate very little, we left hungry and disappointed. These places usually do not last long and I am sorry for that. They could do so much better. I wanted them to do well.

I've been here twice now. The first time I ordered the food was kinda greasy and I almost didn't want to go back -- but the server assured me it would be worked on. I went back last week and it was fantastic. We tried the loon omelet and took home a lot of baked goods! They were all so delicious. My children loved the bumble bee cupcakes and my wife and I enjoyed the delicious strawberry and lemon cake. The hostess was super friendly as was our server! She was very informed about the food and recommended her favorites. We also briefly ran into the baker as she was putting cookies out and she was very friendly in explaining what everything was and that they're all made from scratch daily! I could hear some weird things comming from the kitchen, but unlike other times I've overheard kitchen talk, nothing was horrible! No profanity or anything! We are definitely going back! HIGH RECOMMEND Even if just for dessert!
