Dogs for the weekend. When Itook them hometheyate for hours like they were starvedandranaround theyardlike they were caged all weekend instead of exercised. My dog were wet when picked up and still smelled of the kennel which had an awful odor. This facility needs help. Isfarfrom par compared to Where they are board in Florida and their prices are high for what you get.

Provided by YP.comIn 2006 we boarded a dog for 8 days and had great service. We decided to use them again just last week(2012) and we are horrified with what happened with us and our dogs.
1. I made a reservation for seven days. They quoted me for five days. They repeatedly called me to attempt to cross sell more onto an already large bill. They told me they are now activities based and it would be around $7 a day per dog to interact with them. When I refused they called me several more times trying to pressure me into buying more. Each time I would refuse, and confirm my reservation. When I arrived to deliver my dogs to them they told me they didn't have them scheduled to arrive for two more days! They updated their information and told me there would be no price change. I had to force the young girl at the counter to give me a new total which was now $120 more!
2. We repeatedly called to check in on our dogs. Pet-Ritz would not return our calls. When I finally reached someone they told me my dogs were doing great. When we picked our dogs up, which are highly socialized dogs, they were very distressed. One even tried to crawl on top of me to be held. She trembled for two days. We were told at pick up that our male was so stressed by the kennel experience that he had growled at the attendants and was very unhappy. We should have been told of this when I called. Pet-Ritz did not attempt to call my vet or emergency contact to help with the dog.
3. We were told each dog would receive a complementary bath and dry before pick-up. After the pricing mess I again confirmed this was accurate. We got home with the dogs, got them settled, and realized Pet-Ritz charged us $25 a dog for bathing. And two out of three were still wet. A very arrogant young man named Rob told us Pet-Ritz did us a favor by charging us $75 to bathe them, instead of $60 to board them that day. He apparently can't add, and in addition that day of pick-up was free if we picked them up by a certain time. After days of arguing they refunded the $75.
In summary, this will be the last $650 Pet-Ritz makes on us. Sadly, this kennel has changed it's focus from comfort and quality to sneaky billing and sales pressure.

Provided by YP.comMy pups LOVE this place! It is clean and quite, and the staff really pay attention to the dogs. It gives me great confidence when I am told details about how they were feeling, if they required any special treatment, and their personalities - I know they are cared for and not just stuck in a crate. I also love the fact that you can get extra play sessions and walks. When I pick my dogs up and they don't want to leave, Pet Ritz will always have this loyal customer. I hate to leave them, but when I have to at least I have piece of mind that my babies are in good hands.
