Founded in 1972, Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions is a public magnet high school that represents a partnership between the Houston Independent School District and Baylor College of Medicine. It is a Blue Ribbon school that offers a college preparatory and health-oriented educational program for students in grades 9 through 12. The school offers enrichment, tutorial, summer and mentorship programs.
